In January 2020, the Justice For All Coalition began using JustFix.nyc’s Letter of Complaint tool to support residents in escalating their demand for repairs. This tactics escalated their effort by first formalizing the ask (management offices and NYCHA received a formal letter of complaint), extending the paper trail of their demand, and increasing the eyes on issue (including JFAC, and elected officials).

We are also in the process of using these letters of complaints as the basis for collective lawsuits launched with support by Legal Services, NYC.
